Recap - Wright To the Rescue

We can only hope that David Price and Clay Buchholz paid close attention this evening.

VERY close attention.

Steven Wright continued his strong start to the 2016 season limiting the Astros to just one run on four hits over 6.2 innings as the Red Sox topped Houston 6-2 in the opening game of the road trip.

Wright struck out six and walked five in earning his first win of the year.

The Red Sox offense rapped out 14 hits including four by Mookie Betts who had a pair of triples and was a home run shy of the cycle. Dustin Pedroia (pictured), Xander Bogaerts, Hanley Ramirez and Travis Shaw each contributed two hits.

Boston scored twice in the top of the first and single runs in each of the next three innings.
