The Red Sox got another strong outing from Steven Wright but not enough offense as they fell to the White Sox 4-1 in the opener of their three-game series in Chicago.
The White Sox took a 2-0 lead with single runs in the first and third innings. Wright (pictured) went six innings, giving up both runs on three hits and four walks while striking out six.
The lone Boston run came on a Hanley Ramirez home run in the fifth.
Jose Quintana started for Chicago and held the Sox to just four hits over eight innings.
