A pair of Orioles home runs marred an otherwise very good outing by David Price as Baltimore topped the Red Sox 3-2 in the opener of their three-game series at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.
Manny Machado gave Baltimore a quick 2-0 lead with his 17th home run of the season in the top of the first inning.
The Red Sox cut into the lead with a solo home run by Jackie Bradley Jr. in the bottom of the seventh but the Orioles got the run back in the eighth on a Jonathan Schoop home run to left.
Hanley Ramirez got the Red Sox back to within one with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth to score Mookie Betts.
Price (pictured) went innings allowing three runs on five hits. He struck out 11 and did not walk a batter.
