Porcello (pictured) improved his record to 11-2 allowing just a first-inning run on a Brad Miller home run. He followed with six shutout innings, scattering six hits and striking out five without walking a batter.

The Red Sox are now 13-5 in games started by Porcello this year.

Trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the fourth, Bogaerts cleared everything in left field with his tenth home run of the year, driving in Dustin Pedroia.

Pedey added some insurance with a two-RBI single in the bottom of the fifth.

Jackie Bradley Jr. and Sandy Leon each had two hits for Boston.

Matt Barnes pitched a clean eighth inning; Koji Uehara notched his fourth save of the year in the ninth.
