During last nights 11-6 win over the Angles, Red Sox third baseman fouled a ball hard off his left foot in the fourth inning. He stayed in the game but was later removed in the eighth inning.
Today, the Red Sox got good news, as X-rays came back negative on Shaw's foot. He was diagnosed with a left foot conclusion. The X-ray ruled out any fracture in Shaw's foot and he is now ruled as day to day. Shaw has cooled down from his scorching start but is still batting .274/.336/.465 overall with nine home runs and 48 RBI in 83 games.
