Clay Buchholz started for Boston and went four innings allowing two runs on six hits and a walk. He struck out four in what very well could have been his final appearance in a Red Sox uniform.
The decisive blow for Cleveland was a two-run homer by former Red Sox outfielder Coco Crisp off reliever Drew Pomeranz in the sixth inning.
Xander Bogaerts led Boston with two hits. Ortiz (pictured) drove in a run with a sacrifice fly and walked in the last game of his career.
