The Red Sox could get used to this kind of outing from Doug Fister.

Desperately in need of a win, Fister shut out Cleveland for 7.2 innings as the Red Sox beat the Indians 6-2 at Fenway Park on Monday night.

Fister (pictured) scattered five hits and walked just two while striking out five. He gave up two runs in the eighth on a home run by Bradley Zimmer.

Boston took a 3-0 lead in the bottom of the second inning on a two-RBI single by Mookie Betts and a run-scoring double by Eduardo Nunez.

Betts and Nunez each drove in a run in the fourth to boost the lead to 5-0. Rafael Devers made it 6-0 with an RBI single in the seventh.

The Red Sox pounded out 13 hits led by Devers with a 4-for-4 night. Nunez had three; Betts and Christian Vazquez had two apiece.

Dustin Pedroia was out of the lineup for the third consecutive game with knee soreness.
