Coming off the bench late in the game, Moreland slammed an opposite-field home run in the bottom of the eleventh inning to lift the Red Sox to a 3-2 win over the White Sox at Fenway Park.
It was Boston's tenth extra-innings win in 2017 and their eighth walk-off win, five more than they had in 2016.
Eduardo Rodriguez started for the Red Sox and limited Chicago to two runs on four hits and a pair of walks. He struck out five in the no-decision. The bullpen contributed five shutout innings with Brandon Workman getting the win.
Eduardo Nunez led Boston with two hits including a solo home run in the bottom of the sixth which tied the game at 2-2.
The win was the 400th for John Farrell as manager of the Red Sox.
