The Tampa Bay Rays slammed four home runs, two of them off Boston starting pitcher David Price, as the Red Sox fell 12-6 Saturday afternoon at Fenway Park.
Boston has now lost five of its last seven games while the Rays upped their winning streak to eight consecutive games.
The Red Sox had their chances, loading the bases with none out in the first and third innings but were only able to push a single run across in each of those frames.
Price (pictured) suffered his third loss of the season charged with six runs (five earned) on eight hits and four walks. He struck out five.
Andrew Benintendi and Rafael Devers each had three hits in the loss. Mookie Betts left the game in the top of the fifth inning with tightness in his right hamstring.
