Their 8-2 win over the Angels on Thursday night completed a three-game sweep in which they outscored the Angels 27-3 in the series.

Mookie Betts kicked off the festivities with a lead-off home run in the top of the first inning. The Angels tied the game an inning later before the Boston offense went back to work.

J.D. Martinez had an RBI double in the fourth, and was brought home on a run-scoring single by Rafael Devers.

Boston added two more in the sixth on a solo home run by Andrew Benintendi (his first of the year), and another RBI single by Devers.

Mitch Moreland's sacrifice fly in the eighth and Benintendi's two-RBI single in the ninth finished the scoring.

Eduardo Rodriguez (pictured) allowed both Los Angeles runs on three hits and three walks over six innings. He struck out five and improved his record to 2-0.

Heath Hembree, Carson Smith and Joe Kelly each threw a scoreless inning of relief.

Martinez and Devers each had three hits; Betts, Benintendi and Brock Holt each had two.

Boston moves on to Oakland for a three-game weekend series.
