The Red Sox slammed three home runs to back another good outing by Eduardo Rodriguez to beat the Seattle Mariners 9-3 Sunday afternoon at Safeco Park.
Rafael Devers, Jackie Bradley Jr. (honest!), and Xander Bogaerts all went deep for Boston who were led by Andrew Benintendi's team-high three hit performance.
Rodriguez (pictured) improved his record to 9-1 with six strong innings. He allowed two runs on six hits and just one walk while striking out ninen. The team is 13-1 in his starts this year.
Boston scored five times in the third inning, with Devers driving in three with his 11th home run of the year. They added three more in the seventh on long balls by JBJ and Bogaerts.
Boston put up a 13-hit attack. With the exception of Mookie Betts, every starter had at least one hit.
The Red Sox are 5-2 on the road trip with three more to play against Minnesota later this week.
