Martinez drove in the first two runs with a double to left in the bottom of the second inning and then added a run-scoring single in the fourth to make it 3-0.
Eovaldi (pictured) was brilliant, holding Minnesota to just four hits while striking out five. He threw 63 of his 82 pitches for strikes and did not walk a batter.
Matt Barnes threw a scoreless eighth inning before giving way to Craig Kimbrel who recorded his 33rd save of the year.
Andrew Benintendi, Martinez, Eduardo Nunez and Blake Swihart each had two hits, part of a 10-hit Red Sox afternoon.
With the win, the Red Sox move to 41 games over .500 for the first time since September 27, 1946.
