Recap - Red Sox Complete Sweep of Nationals

The Red Sox scored twice in the seventh and added an insurance run in the ninth to beat the Nationals 3-0 Wednesday afternoon at Nationals Park. The win was Boston's third in a row and moved them to 30 games above the .500 mark.

Rafael Devers scored from third on a sacrifice fly by Jackie Bradley Jr. in left field foul territory and Eduardo Nunez came in on a wild pitch on what was ball four to Andrew Benintendi.

JBJ doubled in the ninth to drive Nunez in with the third run of the game.

Eduardo Rodriguez (pictured) threw six shutout innings in recording his 10th win of the year. He allowed just three hits and one walk while striking out six. He threw 54 of his 84 pitches for strikes.

Craig Kimbrel allowed a pair of singles in the ninth to make things interesting, but managed to get the final out of the game for his 26th save of the year.

Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, Devers and Nunez each had two hits for Boston who won for the eighth time in the last ten games.
