It was a unique lineup to say the least, but with an all-too familiar result - an 8-1 loss to the Orioles at Fenway Park on Patriots' Day.

The Red Sox managed just four hits in the game - two of them by J.D. Martinez - and the lone run scored on an RBI ground out by Pearce in the fifth.

Velazquez (pictured) went three innings in the loss allowing just one run but he had control issues with four walks in the three frames.

The bullpen proved rather porous with Marcus Walden (3), Heath Hembree (2) and Tyler Thornburg (2) each being charged with multiple runs.

The Yankees are up next with Chris Sale getting the start against James Paxton Tuesday night in New York.
