The Red Sox offense rode a seven-run eighth inning to pound the White Sox 9-2 Sunday afternoon in Chicago.

The big blow was a two-out grand slam by Xander Bogaerts (pictured). his sixth home run of the year.

Brandon Workman was the winner in relief of Rick Porcello who turned in six relatively strong innings, allowing two runs on five hits, two of which were solo home runs. He struck out seven and did not walk anyone.

Mitch Moreland and Rafael Devers each had two hits to lead Boston, winners of three in a row and seven of their last ten. The Red Sox are now within a game of the .500 mark.
