Breaking - Red Sox announce new coaches

The Red Sox have officially announced three new additions to the coaching staff for the 2020 season.

DAVE BUSH - PITCHING COACH
Former MLB pitcher Dave Bush (pictured during spring training with Brian Bannister) will move from his position as minor league pitching coordinator to the role of pitching coach succeeding Dana LeVangie who was reassigned following the 2019 season.

Bush pitched for Milwaukee, Toronto and Texas in his nine-year MLB career. He finished with a career record of 56-69 with a 4.73 ERA. He has been a coach in the Red Sox organization since 2017.

KEVIN WALKER - ASSISTANT PITCHING COACH
Kevin Walker is being promoted from AAA Pawtucket where he was the pitching coach for the 2018 and 2019 seasons. Previously, he had coached in the Red Sox minor league season since 2009. He pitched for the Padres, Giants and White Sox over a six-year career.

PETER FATSE - ASSISTANT HITTING COACH
Peter Fatse is a Massachusetts native with two years of minor league experience in the Milwaukee Brewers system and another two years of independent baseball. Fatse played his college baseball at the University of Connecticut where his teammates included Matt Barnes and George Springer. He has previously worked with hitters in the Minnesota Twins system and is the founder and owner of the Advanced Performance Academy where he oversees the development of our youth and high school athletes.
