Alex Bregman signs with Red Sox in 3 Year/ $120M contract
Alex Bregman and the Boston Red Sox have found an agreement on a three year deal worth 120 million dollars. Sure, that seems like an overpay for Bregman at this point in his career, but I would be much more upset about not signing him, than overpaying an older Alex Bregman. The deal was first reported by Chandler Rome and confirmed by Jeff Passan on X. It was also reported that there are two opt-outs and some money defferred as well. The Red Sox now have a few things to figure out, but who doesn't want to "figure out" how to add a player lIke Alex Bregman? He comes with championship pedigree and already has a relationship with Alex Cora from their time in Houston. Hes a solid right handed bat that this lineup desperatley needs.
Now the questions surrounding Raffy's spot on the field arise. Even as of yesterday, Alex Cora again stood on the fact that Raffy is the third basemen for this team. The Red Sox have talked about putting him at second as well, so it'll be interesting to see where everything ends up.
