Sox trip Rays in extras

Shane Victorino's infield single in the bottom of the 10th inning drove in Jacoby Ellsbury with the winning run as the Red Sox topped Tampa Bay 2-1 at Fenway Park. Victorino (pictured on the right) had two hits on the day.

Ellsbury singled with one out, stole second and moved to third on an errant throw by Rays catcher Jose Lobatan.

Jon Lester and David Price locked up in a classic pitcher's duel. Each gave up one run. Lester went 7 innings allowing the 1 earned run on 5 hits and a walk while striking out 5.

Andrew Bailey, Joel Hanrahan (2 walks), Koji Uehara, and Junichi Tazawa (winner in relief) threw 4 scoreless innings while allowing just one hit.

The other run for the Red Sox came on a solo home run by David Ross in the bottom of the 5th inning off Price.
