Marks Closed for Midterms

I suppose we should do a mid-season Red Sox report card (like everybody else). But first, there are a few questions to ponder.

1. Do we downgrade them for their slow start, upgrade them for the remarkable recovery from that start, or just look at the record for what it is?

2. Is it too soon to award an MVP? (Not if AG keeps it up.)

3. How should we recognize Jarrod Saltalamacchia? His contribution is vital. He's been solid defensively, and pretty good offensively. For the first time, we can imagine a post-Varitek world.
