Cook to Start Saturday

But as the calendar flipped toward the May 1 opt-out date in Cook’s contract, they lacked a spot in the rotation for him.Then, Josh Beckett threw 126 pitches last Sunday.
If Cook's debut is as good as Middlebrooks's debut, then game on.
