Mariano Rivera Injured

Yankee fans are holding their breath.

Rivera, 42, injured his right knee while chasing a fly ball during batting practice before the Yankees’ game against the Royals. As he ran toward the center-field wall, his knee buckled and he crashed into the wall, then fell to the warning track, clutching his knee as he grimaced in pain.

The diagnosis, according to several sources, is a torn ACL. "Not good," said Jon Heyman on Twitter.

Best wishes to one of the all-time greats, and by far the greatest closer.
