Strong Outing From Dice-K Aids Sox In 5-1 Win Over Jays

Daisuke Matsuzaka pitched two outs into the 6th inning, the bullpen tossed 3.1 scoreless innings of relief, and the offense added 6 extra-base hits as the Red Sox rallied from a 1-0 deficit for a 5-1 win at Fenway Park.

Dice-K (pictured) allowed the lone Toronto run in the top of the 1st inning. He gave up 6 hits while walking just one batter and striking out five in what was easily his strongest outing since coming back from surgery.

David Ortiz and Adrian Gonzalez each had two hits, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia added his 14th home run of the season as the Red Sox won for the 8th time in their last 10 games.
