The Manager's Best Mov(i)e Yet

I love this story. Kudos to Bobby V. for sticking by the movie.
The league is displeased with the film’s allegations of corruption and coercion in the signing process for young prospects from the Dominican Republic. MLB spokesman Pat Courtney said in an e-mail that the league “had a conversation with the Red Sox about the inaccuracies and misrepresentations that were in the documentary,” but did not elaborate on what they were.
Valentine said the film simply reflects reality.
The irony, of course, is that MLB would probably completely ignore the movie in normal circumstances. But the manager of the Red Sox produced it, so they can't.

In fairness to MLB, the story does note some reforms, with no less an authority than David Ortiz (who's from the Dominican Republic) praising the league's efforts to improve the situation.
