It's the Game the Whole Family Can Play!

Jon Lester came up with a vintage performance, and 8 starters had at least one hit as the Red Sox hammered Cleveland 14-1 at Progressive Field.

Lester (pictured) allowed just 1 run in 6 innings, giving up 3 hits and 2 walks while striking out 12. It was his 1st win since June 27. The Sox are now 9-15 in games started by him this season.

Boston took a 3-0 lead in the top of the 1st inning; Cleveland answered with a run in the bottom of the frame. From that point, it was all Lester and Red Sox hitters as Boston scored 2 in the 2nd, 1 in the 3rd and 8 in the 5th.

Jacoby Ellsbury (2), Carl Crawford (3), Dustin Pedroia (2), Adrian Gonzalez (2) and Mike Aviles (3) all had multi-hit games as the Red Sox pounded out 16 hits against 5 Cleveland pitchers.

By game's end, the Red Sox defense had a rather unique look with Pedro Ciriaco in centerfield, and Jarrod Saltalamacchia at 1st base.
