Ryan Kalish should be back with the Red Sox in 5-6 months
As Ryan Kalish's recovery timeline continues to develop it’s been reported that the Sox outfielder will need five to six months to recover from his arthroscopy and posterior labrum repair - this coming from source a at WEEI.com in Boston.
If the timetable is correct then that puts
Kalish back on track for a June return to the Sox lineup. For Kalish a return
to the Red Sox roster will depend on two things: A success recovery and a minor
league stint as he works his way back to the Majors.
Kalish is one of Boston’s top prospects and at age 25 the injury-prone outfielder is looking to find his
place on the team. In 2010 he started 44 games for the Red Sox ending the
season with a .252 batting average, 26 runs, 4 home runs and 24 RBI.
In 2012 Kalish was called upon once again to
help an ailing Sox outfield. He started 26 games until he was optioned to the
Pawtucket Red Sox in July. Kalish finished the season with 12 runs, 0 home runs
and 5 RBI during his time in the team.
