Fantasy Baseball Focus

I'd like to welcome all of our Red Sox Life'rs and fantasy baseball enthusiasts to a new segment on Red Sox Life. Here, our focus will be on what some call "fake baseball", and I don't know about you but in my fantasy league our trophy is VERY real. You can expect to get some hot waiver wire advice, who's hot an who's not, spot starters for your team and just general fantasy fun nonsense. Who doesn't love all that, well besides your significant other who doesn't participate I mean. Now that the welcoming party is over lets get to it.
Fill the holes in your lineup with these hot hitters:
C, Jarrod Saltalamacchia, BOS; 11/24, 6 runs, 3HR, 10RBI
1B/OF, Kyle Blanks, SD; 11/26, 8 runs, 3HR, 7RBI
2B, Dan Uggla, Atl; 8/23, 6 runs, 3HR, 7RBI
3B, Will Middlebrooks, BOS; Back from DL can add power stats
SS/2B/OF, Ben Zobrist, TB; 13/28, 8 runs, HR, 3RBI
OF/1B, Adam Dunn, CWS; 8/26, 7 runs, 4HR, 7RBI
OF, Carlos Quentin, SD; 11/26, 7 runs, 2HR, 4RBI
OF, Cameron Maybin, SD; Healthy, tons of speed, hitting well
Pitching prospects for Week 11:
Gerrit Cole, PIT, With Wandy Rodriguez sidelined, the first overall pick in 2011 will make his major league debut Wednesday night. The 22 year old could remain in the bigs for the year with the Rodiguez injury and if he continues to pitch well.
Jarrod Parker, OAK, 2.43 ERA, 0.91 WHIP in his last six starts. Next start comes against the Yankees in NY.
Bartolo Colon, OAK, 7-2 with a 3.14 ERA this season. Colon has pitched well and is good for a spot start but a potential PED suspension looming so be cautious moving forward.
Jorge De La Rosa, COL, solid spot start for their matchup on Wednesday against WSH.
Vinnie Pestano, CLE, with Chris Perez on the DL Pestano will be closing.
Luke Gregerson, SD, Huston Street also on DL an the great hold man will now get save opportunities.
Rex Brothers, COL, Now closing games with Rafaeal Betancourt injured.
Come back later this week as we'll do a fantasy week in review and see how these guys turned out and we'll also look ahead to Week 12. If you need instant access to me you can either yell at me or give me praise on Twitter @PresidenteGuapo. Looking forward to see how many were able to gain some points in their matchup's this week. Good luck on Fantasy Island people.
