Stephen Drew to Return after All Star Break

Remember when Patrice Bergeron was playing in the Stanley Cup Finals with a hurt shoulder, broken ribs and a punctured lung? Well that was the same time that Stephen Drew got hurt with a strained hamstring. Drew is looking to play 2 games for the AA affiliate the Portland Sea Dogs on Thursday and Friday and then rejoin the Red Sox for the Saturday game against the New York Yankees.
Right before Drew got hurt he was on a 9 game hot streak, breaking the slump that he had been in. He was hitting .364 (12-33) with 4 doubles and 3 triples. In the 15 games that he has missed the Red Sox have gone 9-6 in the time. With returning to the Red Sox it looks as if Jose Iglesias will move back over to third base, and Brock Holt will be designated for assignment. Holt has made the most of his short stint in the majors this season with the Red Sox. In his 9 games played hes hitting .300 with 8 RBI's, 3 runs scored and only 2 strike outs. Iglesias has been playing great this year, and the move to third to bring back Drew makes sense. Iglesias is hitting .367 in 52 games played. He has 16 RBI's and has scored 26 runs. Iglesias is a natural short stop but has been making the transition to third base this year with relative ease. He has started 25 games at the position and has a fielding percentage of .964. He has 40 assists, 2 errors and has contributed to 1 double play.
Its about time that Drew returns to the lineup, he has been on the DL for far to long. I understand that it was precautionary to put him on the 15 day DL but the 7 day would have been fine. The Red Sox are a better team with him in the lineup and while they have been playing well without him the will play better with him healthy for the second half of the season.
