Recap - Sox shut down by Astros

The Red Sox received a good outing from John Lackey but couldn't muster any offense off his Houston counterpart Brett Oberholtzer as they fell to the Astros 2-0 at Minute Maid Park.

Lackey (pictured) was charged with both runs on eight hits in six innings; he walked two and struck out ten. There was some concern in the bottom of the second when he rolled his ankle on a coumebacker to the mound but he remained in the game.

The Red Sox were held to just five hits, four of them off Oberholtzer. Dustin Pedroia had two hits for Boston.
