Mike Napoli returns to Boston

Mike Napoli showed up on Newbury Street in Boston on Sunday, bearded up and ready for a new contract. The clothing store Johnny Cupcakes invited him to stop by and sign autographs in celebration of a new, special edition Mike Napoli-themed shirt, which will be available on Monday. Before the signing, Napoli talked to WEEI's Rob Bradford about his free agent status.

I’m just being patient, seeing my options. I do want to play here. You just have to go through that whole process and see what’s going to go on.

About 150 fans showed up to meet the 2013 World Series Champion and have their giant Johnny Cupcakes posters autographed. The hope for most of Red Sox Nation is that Mike Napoli plays in a Sox uniform for the 2014 season. How does Napoli feel about the possibility of returning to Boston next year?
