Want to own a piece of Boston Red Sox World Series history? No, it’s not a jersey or a bat, it’s a ball. A beard ball in fact.

Gillette announced Thursday that it would auction off two hair balls. The trimmings are the remnants from World Series MVP David Ortiz and Sox outfielder Shane Victorino.

The beard ball comes in a classy case along with the razor that did the shaving and includes an autograph from Ortiz and Victorino.

All proceeds will go to Movember, a men’s health charity that encourages men to grow mustaches this month and raises funds to combat prostate and testicular cancer and mental health challenges.

Ortiz said,“I’m glad that the beard that helped me throughout the series can now help raise funds for a great organization like Movember.”

Current bids are at $355 for Victorino’s beard hair and $640 for Ortiz’s.
