The Boston Red Sox celebrated their 2013 World Series championship at Fenway Park on Friday.
Overall, it was a classy and understated opening day ceremony. The Sox got their rings, the banner was raised and the team honored the victims of last years Boston Marathon bombings as well as the Boston Fire Department, who lost two heroes in a Back Bay fire last week.
Fans didn't leave smiling, however, as the Sox dropped the home opener 6-2 to the Brewers.
