Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Throw Inaugural “Fenway for the Fallen” Celebrity Softball Game

Military Advocacy Group Aiding Massachusetts Veterans and Families of the Fallen Team up with Local Celebrities for Charity Softball Game at Fenway Park

Boston, MA (May 16, 2014) Massachusetts Fallen Heroes is proud to announce its first annual “Fenway for the Fallen” celebrity softball game on Friday, June 6, 2014 at Fenway Park. All proceeds will benefit Massachusetts Fallen Heroes and its goal of memorializing the fallen and providing advocacy services for local veterans and families of the fallen serving in the Global War on Terrorism since 2001.
From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., the first annual “Fenway for the Fallen” celebrity softball game will feature an all-star lineup of current and former Boston professional athletes and celebrities who will be teaming up with local veterans and their families to support the organization, and aid those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the freedom of our country. The event is free and open to the public.
“In our ongoing fight to aid local veterans and their families, we are ecstatic to provide these brave men and women with the amazing opportunity to enjoy a fun filled day at America’s favorite ballpark and enjoy the company of beloved Boston athletes and celebrities,” said Executive Director Dan Magoon. “The inaugural “Fenway for the Fallen” is the latest in a long line of initiatives and events we conduct throughout the year to support those who selflessly defend our country. We can’t thank the Red Sox organization enough for hosting us.”
Massachusetts Fallen Heroes, in collaboration with the Disabled American Veterans and Massachusetts Department of Transportation, will also offer “Fenway for the Fallen” guests the opportunity to register for a Massachusetts Fallen Heroes limited edition license plate.
