David Ortiz had another 2-home run game as the Red Sox beat the Twins 9-4 at Target Field to once again move over the .500 mark. Ortiz had 3 hits in a 12-hit attack for Boston.

The Red Sox scored a pair in the top of the 1st inning on an RBI ground out by Mike Napoli and an RBI double by Grady Sizemore and simply never looked back. They added 2 more in the top of the 3rd and then single runs in the 4th through 6th innings, and 2 more in the 9th.

Felix Doubront went 6.1 innings for the win. He was charged with 1 run on 7 hits and a walk while striking out 5.

With the first of his two round-trippers, Ortiz moved past Jim Rice into 3rd place on the Red Sox all-time home run list with 383. He trails only Ted Williams (521) and Carl Yastrzemski (452). In 13 career games at Target Field, Ortiz has 8 home runs and 21 runs batted in.

Sizemore and Xander Bogaerts each had 2 hits for Boston.
