Game 58: Sox look to bounce back behind Peavy

The Red Sox finally had their 7-game winning streak come to an end yesterday in Cleveland, but they'll look to get back on track against the Tribe tonight behind game 2 starter Jake Peavy. Peavy has had his struggles this year, but he's coming off a start in which he gave up 3 runs in a season high 8 innings. The Sox will be looking for Peavy to replicate that success against Cleveland, who boast the American League's best home record at 19-11 (surprising given that their record is almost identical to ours). Peavy will be matched up against Cleveland young lefty T.J. House, who is making his 3rd big league appearance. He's posted an 0-1 record with a 4.05 ERA, but he's coming off a start in which he held the Chicago White Sox to 1 run in 6 1/3 innings in Chicago.
The Red Sox offense will look to bounce back from a performance that saw them get K'd 10 times by ex-Sox pitcher Justin Masterson, who had been struggling prior to last night's start. Xander Bogaerts did manage a 2-run home run against the Cleveland bullpen, but the Red Sox will be looking for more than that tonight as they look to start a fresh winning streak against the Cleveland rookie House.
