The Red Sox look to come back from a 12-3 thrashing last night in Seattle in which they were thoroughly outplayed by the Seattle Mariners.

The Red Sox will send Jake Peavy to the hill against Erasmo Ramirez, a match up that features 2 pitchers that haven't won a game since April. For Ramirez, his last win came on his debut on April 1st, and he is coming off a start in which he recorded 6 scoreless innings but came away with a no decision. He is 1-4 with a 4.62 ERA in the big leagues, but has been throwing the ball well since the Mariners recalled him from their AAA affiliate in Tacoma, posting aa 0-0 record and a 2.41 ERA. He has had his troubles since coming back up, though, totaling 12 walks and 17 hits in 18 2/3 innings.

For the Red Sox, they've bumped slumping 3rd baseman Xander Bogaerts down to 7th in the line up while Stephen Drew is also in the line up tonight in the 8 spot. The Sox offense will try to finally get going against Ramirez tonight, which is optimistic to say the least, given their struggles all season long. The exception is Brock Holt, who's been sensational so far this year hitting out of the lead off spot. The Sox will look to rectify that tonight and get some offense from guys 2-9, and finally get back on track.

Red Sox Lineup:

Holt RF
Pedroia 2B
Ortiz DH
Napoli 1B
Nava LF
Pierzynski C
Bogaerts 3B
Drew SS
Bradley Jr. CF
Peavy RHP.
