Rumor has is it that the Kansas City Royals are in need of a right handed bat for their outfield in wake of Nori Aoki's struggles this season.

One of the right handed bats that is on their list is Boston's beloved personality Johnny Gomes, according to ESPN Boston and Jerry Crosniack

I'm not so against this move as others may be. People seem to love Gomes and his personality, but he just isn't producing this year. To me, he is a more offensively and defensively challenged Kevin Millar.

What would the Sox ask for in return for Gomes? A prospect? A pitcher? Money? I really don't know, I don't think he's worth much of anything besides money. Maybe we could get a middle inning reliever? I doubt it though. I think Jonny is expendable to us, especially with Victorino on his way back and Nava finding his groove.

Sorry Jonny, at least you got a ring and most of the city loves you, but I think we can afford losing you for money.
