Rick Porcello will loo to start living up to his new 4-year/$82 million deal tonight when Boston takes on the Philadelphia Phillies in the 2nd game of a 3-game set tonight. Porcello (15-13, 3.43 ERA last year with Detroit) takes on Aaron Harang (12-12, 3.57 last year in Atlanta), who signed a 1-year deal in the off-season to bolster Philly's rotation depth.
The Red Sox lineup will look to continue what it started on Monday when they put up 8 runs on 5 home runs. Hanley Ramirez (2 home runs, including a grand slam, on Monday) in particular will welcome this match up, as he has owned the lifetime match up with Harang at 10-29, including 5 home runs. David Ortiz has also had some success against Harang, going 5-11 lifetime (3 doubles, 1 home run), but Mike Napoli will get the start in Ortiz's place tonight. Still a good option to have off the bench. Here is the lineup John Farrell is putting out:
4/8 at PHI: Betts CF, Pedroia 2B, Sandoval 3B, Ramirez LF, Napoli 1B, Nava RF, Hanigan C, Bogaerts SS, Porcello RHP.
