Recap - Miley's gritty performance leads Sox over A's

Wade Miley turned in 6.2 gritty innings and Daniel Nava drove in a run and scored another as the Red Sox beat the Athletics 2-0 in Oakland on Wednesday afternoon.

Miley (pictured) scattered 5 hits mixed in with 4 walks in shutting out Oakland for his second win of the year. Junichi Tazawa and Koji Uehara threw 2.1 scoreless innings to secure the victory; Uehara earned his 7th save of the season.

Nava put Boston up 1-0 with an RBI single in the top of the second inning that scored Hanley Ramirez. Dustin Pedroia's infield single in the eighth drove Nava home with the other Red Sox run.

Pedroia, Ramirez and Nava each had two hits for Boston.
