Pretty much all it took was one mistake by Rick Porcello.

Mark Trumbo led off the top of the second inning with a solo home run to give Baltimore a 1-0 win over the Red Sox Wednesday night at Fenway Park.

Meanwhile, Porcello's Baltimore counterpart Kevin Gausman was holding the Boston offense to four hits over eight innings just 48 hours removed from a 13-run outburst.

The loss was Porcello's fourth of the year and only his first at Fenway Park. He allowed just four hits and didn't walk a batter while striking out six.

The Red Sox are now one game ahead of the second-place Orioles and have a four-game weekend series with the Yankees starting Thursday night at Fenway.
