Another good night for the Red Sox offense to back 6.2 innings from Rick Porcello resulted in an 11-6 win over the Rangers at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.
Xander Bogaerts (pictured) went 3-for-5 with three RBI's to lead the Boston offense. Dustin Pedroia, Andrew Benintendi and Mitch Moreland each had two hits.
Benintendi and Hanley Ramirez each drove in a pair of runs.
Porcello allowed five runs (four earned) on eleven hits. He struck out four without walking a batter. His record improved to 3-5.
The Rangers had come into the game winner of eleven of their last twelve games.
The Red Sox gained ground in the American League East on both the Yankees and Orioles who were losers in their respective games.
