It was the first time in Red Sox history that a lead-off hitter has had eight RBI's in a single game.

Drew Pomeranz was the beneficiary of the offensive onslaught, going six innings to earn his eighth win of the year. He scattered five hits and walked a pair while striking out three.

Boston rapped out 21 hits with every starter contributing at least one hit. Betts (pictured) led with four; Hanley Ramirez, Jackie Bradley Jr., Tzu-Wei Lin, and Deven Marrero each had two.

The seventh inning was the big one for the Red Sox who scored eight times in the frame.
