Recap - Benintendi Powers Red Sox Past Yankees

Andrew Benintendi slammed a pair of three-run homers as the Red Sox doubled up on the Yankees 10-5 at Yankee Stadium on Saturday.
Drew Pomeranz went 6.2 for the win, his twelfth of the season. He gave up seven hits and walked two while striking out five.
The Yankees took a 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning on a two-run blast by Gary Sanchez.
Boston responded with five runs in the top of the third. Mookie Betts drove in two with a single and Benintendi (pictured) plated three more with his first home run of the game.
New York countered with a run in the bottom of the fourth on an RBI ground out by Jacoby Ellsbury.
Boston answered back in the fifth with three on Benintendi's second home run and a two-RBI double by Rafael Devers.
The Yankees got solo home runs in the ninth from Chase Headley and Ellsbury off reliever Robby Scott to finish the scoring.
Luis Severino, who had been sensational for the Yankees coming out of the All-Star break, took the loss. He lasted just 4.1 innings and was charged with all ten runs (eight earned).
