Mitch Moreland's solo home run in the top of the seventh inning was pretty much all the Red Sox offense could muster on Sunday afternoon.
But with the way Hector Velazquez and the bullpen pitched, that was all Boston needed to finish the 11-game road trip with a 1-0 win over the Diamondbacks.
Velazquez and a quartet of relievers - Brandon Workman, Marcus Walden, Matt Barnes and Ryan Brazier - threw a combined three hitter striking out eight and walking just one.
Boston's record stands at 3-8 with Monday as an off day for the Red Sox who will play their home opener Tuesday at Fenway Park against the Blue Jays. Chris Sale will get the start.
