Brian McCann will take a tour and visit 6 teams in 2 weeks, including the Red Sox, according to Buster Olney. Per Olney's Twitter account, McCann will visit the New York Yankees and Texas among other teams in the next 2 weeks.
Brian McCann expected to start visiting teams he's talking with in the next 2 weeks;NYY/TEX/BOS among more than half-dozen teams interested.

The Red Sox are interested in McCann for sure, but are uncomfortable about the length of the contract and it is rumored now that McCann is seeking something in the range of $100 million according to NESN. It is unclear what the Red Sox are looking to give whoever they sign at catcher, but the asking price and length of the contract for McCann might be too much for the Red Sox.
Of course, if the Red Sox pass on McCann, the Red Sox could look to re-sign Jarrod Saltalamcchia, which would be a much cheaper alternative to what McCann could cost. I'm sure the Red Sox will at least talk to McCann, though, as it seems unlikely that they will bring Salty back.
