Stop me if you've heard this one before.

The opposing team scores first...builds a decent lead...the Red Sox leave a bunch of runners in scoring position...and another loss gets recorded - in this case 7-2 at the hands of the Blue Jays at Fenway Park.

Melky Cabrera and Jose Batista went back-to-back in the top of the 1st inning off Boston starter Jon Lester, who somehow pitched into the 7th inning. Lester gave up 2 runs in that 1st inning and another 5 in the top of the 2nd inning. He gave up 10 hits and walked 2 while striking out 3.

Meanwhile, Mark Buehrle held the Red Sox in check during his 7 innings of work. Boston touched him for 2 runs on 7 hits. He didn't walk anyone and struck out 5.

Boston's runs came on a Jonny Gomes RBI single in the bottom of the 1st and a solo home run by Xander Bogaerts (pictured) an inning later.

Brock Holt had 2 hits for Boston in the loss.
