The Red Sox offense exploded for 11 runs to back seven strong innings by rookie Anthony Ranaudo as Boston knocked off the Tampa Bay Rays 11-3 on Wednesday night at Fenway Park.

Bryce Brentz and Yoenis Cespedes each had a pair of hits in the victory; rookie Garin Cecchini (pictured) hit his first career home run. Xander Bogaerts drove in three runs.

Ranaudo managed to keep the ball in the yard; he was charged with two runs on six hits while walking one and striking out two. He finished the season on an up note with a 4-3 record.
