The Red Sox have placed outfielder Shane Victorino on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to Thursday April 23. To take his place on the roster, Boston has called up right-handed pitcher Matt Barnes (pictured).
Barnes has made two appearances in 2015 for the PawSox. He made his major league debut last September against the Orioles.
