Eduardo Rodriguez picked up the win to improve his record to 4-2. Amid reports he had been tipping his pitches in his previous couple of starts, ERod went six innings allowing just one run on four hits and two walks while striking out four.

Tommy Layne gave up a two-run blast to Jose Reyes in the bottom of the seventh. It was his fourth of the year.

Alexi Ogando went 1.1 innings of scoreless baseball and Koji Uehara had a clean ninth inning to nail down his eighteenth save of the year.

Toronto starter Marco Estrada, who had taken no-hitters into the eighth inning of his two most recent starts, allowed two unearned runs in the first inning. Bradley took him deep to right field in the top of the second inning and Ortiz followed with a solo shot of his own in the third.

The home run for Ortiz was his thirteenth of the season and the 479th of his career.
