This weekend the saga of 2013 can finally be laid to rest, with a happy ending.

Remember those days Red Sox Nation? Jenny Dell was the on field reporter for NESN, but got a little too close to the magic that was Red Sox third baseman Will Middlebrooks?

When they made it public, it ended up costing Dell her on field spot with NESN and she moved on to CBS football coverage.

Middlebrooks and Dell continued to date, he won a World Series ring and then moved on to play for the Padres, but first he secured the Dell deal:

Then it went a little quiet, for more than a year and a half now everyone out there has been wondering when they would finally close the deal. According to the Boston Herald, the stars will finally align in their busy schedules this weekend on Valentines Day in Arizona.

Apparently planning this wedding was complicated by Dell having to work football for CBS all the way through last week's Super Bowl and Middlebrooks being signed by the Brewers and having to report to Spring Training on Feb. 24. Luckily that trade means he will be in Arizona for Spring Training and that matches nicely with a Valentines Day wedding in the same state.

Since this romance started, Middlebrooks has had a more difficult time of it on the field. He was traded to the Padres for Ryan Hanigan in Dec. 2014, then lost the Padres third-base job to Yangervis Solarte and ended up optioned to the El Paso Chihuahuas of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. At the end of last year Middlebrooks was non-tendered, but ended up signing with the Brewers and has a Spring Training invite.

For now, the pair will be living in Arizona, happily married after this weekend.
