The Yankees initially canceled batting practice this afternoon; the Red Sox were scheduled to take BP as the announcement about tonight's game was made.

According to initial reports, three New York players tested positive with three more tests pending.

Nestor Cortez and Wandy Peralta tested positive earlier Thursday; Loaisiga went on the COVID-19 list on Saturday.

According to a report on NJ.com, 85% of the Yankees’ roster/staff have received a coronavirus vaccine, and the team had been operating under relaxed restrictions, as per the game’s health and safety protocols. Boston has not reached the 85% vaccination threshold.
